Exquisite, Beautiful Lauren | Boudoir | Styled by Tam

Oh I have been so excited to share these images!!! Did I mention EXCITED?!?!?!?!

I think I may have found my favorite genre of photography, next to weddings ;) I was rather nervous at the thought of venturing into boudoir photography - having had a shoot of my own with the phenomenal Jules Morgan last year, I wondered whether I could create even an ounce of the magic that she did with my shoot :) I remember feeling both ecstatic and floored when I received my images - I got the shoot as a present for my beloved, but never imagined how much of a gift and treasure it would be for my soul to have those images :) It's a life-changing thing to view your beauty through someone else's eyes - and a gift that blesses your feminine soul beyond words.



I cannot begin to explain how blessed I was to have done this shoot with Lauren, that she would trust me with such a monumental task makes me feel rather warm and fuzzy inside :) We were also incredibly blessed to have the lovely Tamalin along to style this shoot, and man did she bring the style! Only what was possibly the coldest, rainiest day of the year, we carted a mattress, backdrop and a million odds and ends to the top of a hill, all of which were 100% worth it ;)

Lauren was incredibly brave as well - looking beautiful in your most gorgeous lingerie in the freezing cold and wind, and doing it incredibly gracefully, is no mean feat! And wow, it was impossible to take a bad image of her - with her delicate beauty, her stunning blue-green eyes, her elegance :) I was in photographer's heaven :) AND to top it all off, the storm clouds blew away for just long enough to capture all these images. And the light?? The light was beyond beautiful :)

For me, boudoir photography captures more than just 'intimate' images - it's a peek into the soul of a woman, the elegance and femininity that she carries with her, her confidence, the things that make her stand tall, the little quirks that she knows will make the man she loves stare at her in awe, and an opportunity to prove to a woman that she is beautiful in spite of the flaws she may perceive in her body. To have the opportunity to capture that makes my heart happier than I can actually say :)

Tam my friend, thank you SO much for your creativity and resourcefulness! And your being my right-hand on the day - we would never have got everything set up and then rushed back to the car (in the rain!) without you ;)

Dearest, most beautiful La, thank you SO much for sharing your beauty with me, and for agreeing to share some of your images with my readers. You are so incredibly beautiful, both inside & out and it was an honor beyond words to get to photograph you :) And an even bigger thank you to your amazing hubby Riaan for graciously allowing us to - it's understandable he wants you all to himself, hehe ;)
