Weekend Ramblings | Balance, Randomness & Blessings

Isn't it funny how life works? All the serendipitous, happy, difficult, trying moments that string together to form our existence? I feel like I'm learning a lot at the moment, from all the random things that are happening right now :) Some days it's a good feeling when I'm fortunate enough to master what's thrown my way, and then others I honestly want to melt into a puddle of despair. But overall, wow, what a blessing. Each day I'm reminded that to do what I love is a blessing. It's a blessing to me to notice all the beauty that life has to offer, and it's a blessing to have the opportunity to touch others. :)

My 365 project is also stretching me at the moment. Being as verbose as I am (!) I didn't think it would be all that hard to grab my camera once a day and snap an image. But I want each picture to mean something, to me if no-one else, and that's a huge challenge! I love what's taking shape though, as it feels like such a representation of me and my life - totally random, made of things both good and bad, and well, I like the craziness ;) I've always like a little crazy ;)

I'm feeling so blessed today - a beautiful wedding with a talented photographer who is incredibly generous, and then to meet the sweetest, most precious family today. I love what I get to do - it sets my heart on fire more each day :)

I ADORE cats, if my hubby's reading this, I'd quite like a siamese please ;) Until then, I'll have to make do with the cat I stalk in my complex, who happens to not appreciate large lenses!

Just one of those things that photographers do - test the light. This was possibly the craziest heat ever, but I love the colours.

My garter. SO special to me - made by my gran-in-law and made with a small scrap of lace from my mom's veil.

A treasured ring from hubby

This week I had a nasty chest infection. So thankful for meds to put it right!

A very precious, neurotic puppy who stayed still JUST long enough to capture this ;)
