You may remember last week's slight wobbly. I'm happy to report this past week has been a million times better :). I worry some days that when I try to do too much, something's gotta give. I'm the kind of gal who doesn't really want to do something unless I can do it right, and with all my heart.
This week I've been reminded of why I love doing what I do, and of the many blessings in my life :). I was blessed with the most amazing shoots this past weekend and yesterday, I love how I feel with a camera in my hands. For me, photography is like discovering an old pair of shoes - it just 'fits'. Sometimes there are a few blisters, but they were made for me :). Holding a camera, interacting with people, editing, blogging, all these elements have a perfect synchronicity with who I am. And I love it!
This is going to sound unbelievably cheesy - but photography woke me up. It's almost as if everything in my life is somehow enhanced - things look, smell, feel different. I love that I notice the small things more often. I love the feeling of eina feet and muscles after a super bendy shoot ;). I love having the opportunity to see people who love each other so much and capture some of that for them. It's such a blessing.
And I love the in-between even more now - quality time with hubby, yachting with the parents-in-law - having such a fulfilling occupation makes everything sweeter :) So I thought I'd share some of my pics from today with ya'll :)
Preparing to leave the harbour - yes, Padre still has the crocs!!
Most stunning day!
There's just something about sails, the sunshine and those clouds.
No bites from the fish today :( But love the perspective.
Special parentals. And me and my signature trashy beverage, oh dear ;)
Bummer about the haze, but still love this one :)
these are so beautiful tiffs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about photography "waking you up" you see everything a bit clearer and in new perspectives when you look through a lens! You learn to appreciate the tiny things that often go unnoticed. Like the little daisy wild flowers growing in the grass and the bright red of a ladybird...so glad I am not the only one that feels like that!
