Weekend Ramblings: Ode To a MAC Brush

* warning: girly and fairly shallow blogpost beneath ;) *

Right, so I happen to like shopping, just a bit I promise! ;) And well, from an early age I used to be a 'eyeliner & mascara' kinda gal. Eyeshadow? The few attempts I made looked more like a hungover panda than anything else....

And then I had my wedding makeup done by the amazing Merlene Joy and discovered a whole new world of opportunity. One thing led to another, and I found myself at the MAC counter, my purse considerably lighter and several intimidating brushes and bottles to contend with. Honestly never new I'd feel so strongly for a foundation brush, but I LOVE the one below! Just how it looks makes my heart happy, and it applies foundation like a DREAM!

Have felt a lot more grown up since learning the 'art' of how to apply eyeshadow!

And...I know it's shallow, but there are days I croon to my under-eye concealer in appreciation for all the hard work it does in covering up my tired, dark circles!

And yes, the packaging makes me happy. I'm a girl, I'm allowed to like makeup ;)

Doesn't it remind you of a happy porcupine? (In of course, a non-prickly way!)

Swoon.

Reckon this would hide ANYTHING.

Ooh, and this is the BEST eyeliner you'll ever own - truly, had it a year and it's still in perfect nick and goes on like a dream every morning :D you know you need one ;)
